Welcome to my website. I’m so glad you’re here!

 

My name is Amy Kim (she/her) but to my family I’m known as 예솜. I grew up in Seattle, Washington where my childhood consisted of Sunday school songs, road trips, and bowls of cut fruits. I first discovered my love for storytelling from watching animated movies with my brother and playing pretend at recess. I eventually grew out of elementary school recess, but I never grew out of playing pretend. So, I moved to Chicago to further my training and grow my love for the arts. 

 

I graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts where I received my BFA in Musical Theatre. Shortly after, I made my Chicago theatre debut in The Spongebob Musical with Kokandy Productions playing Karen the Computer. Other Chicagoland credits include The Snow Queen at Marriott Theater.

 

As an actor, I'm dedicated to bringing diverse stories to life on stage and screen. I believe that art has the power to inspire people to listen to different perspectives and broaden their horizons. I aim to cultivate connections and relationships to work as an advocate grounded in empathy and love.

 

When I’m not acting, you can usually find me songwriting, crocheting, or creating aesthetically pleasing spreadsheets.
