Welcome to my website. I’m so glad you’re here!

My name is Amy Kim (she/her) but to my family I’m known as 예솜. I grew up in Seattle, Washington where my childhood consisted of Sunday school songs, road trips, and bowls of cut fruit. I first discovered my love for storytelling from watching animated movies with my brother and playing pretend at recess. I eventually grew out of elementary school recess, but I never grew out of playing pretend. So, I moved to Chicago to further my training and grow my love for the arts.

I graduated from the Chicago College of Performing Arts where I received my BFA in Musical Theatre. Shortly after, I made my Chicago theatre debut in The Spongebob Musical with Kokandy Productions playing Karen the Computer. Other Chicagoland credits include The Snow Queen (Marriott Theatre), Veal and The Targeted (A Red Orchid Theatre), and Hair (Kokandy Productions).  I am also an ensemble member of Griffin Theatre and have toured the country performing in Frindle and The Stinky Cheese Man and Other Fairy Stupid Tales. Aside from theatre, I have continued working as an actor in TV, film, commercial, print and voiceover.

As an actor, I am passionate about bringing diverse stories to life on stage and screen. I believe that art has the power create social change rooted in empathy.

When I’m not acting, you can usually find me junk journaling, teaching, or getting a sweet treat!
